New World Transportation Services has adopted a fuel calculation method because of the fluctuating prices in fuel. It is based on the fuel prices published weekly by the U.S. Department of Energy. The method more closely links the

fuel surcharges to prevailing market prices for diesel fuel, and should help New World Transportation Services and our customers respond more quickly to changes in fuel prices in the marketplace.

The surcharge percentage for New World will be subject to weekly adjustment. The adjustment will be made according to the table below and will be based on the price per gallon of diesel fuel stated by the U.S. Department of Energy.

We will adjust the surcharge on a weekly basis, based on the national average fuel price posted by the U.S. Department of Energy on Monday of each week. The surcharge percentage will be reflected on your New World invoice.

Fuel surcharge percentages are subject to change without notice. If the average of the national U.S. on-highway average price for a gallon of diesel fuel rises above $5.05, the New World fuel surcharges continues to increase 0.5% for every $0.05 increase in the fuel price.

We reserve the right to access fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice. The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your shipment to New World, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by New World Transportation Services.
